Pro Audio Converter is a feature-laden and intuitive Mac OS X application which enables you to convert to and from numerous audio formats. It comes with an optimized user interface and the ability to edit the metadata of tracks before converting them.

The application features a drag’n’drop window where you can view all the files you have added. The app also makes it simple to remove the files you do not wish to convert. From the upper bar, you can access the most common actions and the lower bar contains the audio settings.

Pro Audio Converter supports a variety of input and output formats, including, 3GP, AAC, AIFC, FLAC, Apple Lossless, OGG, WAV and many more. Batch conversion is also supported. However, note that DRM files are not supported.

Another major feature is the metadata editor that allows you to change the title, track artist, album artist, composer, album, year, genre, etc. of a song. You can add or edit lyrics, the album artwork and inspect the detailed file information.

Like many other audio encoders, Pro Audio Converter also allows for adjusting audio settings, such as encoding, sample rate, bit depth, endianness, channels, quality and extension type. All these settings are available from a single place, the lower bar in the main window.

Taking all said into consideration, the Pro Audio Converter app is not a revolutionary app in terms of audio encoding, but does a great job and offers more options than a lot of converters on the market.
