Mozart ME for Mac
Reading musical notes on sight can be quite challenging so Mozart ME proposes a game styled setting to help you practice and improve your skills. The game is fairly easy to play and you will find yourself getting better at it without even trying too hard.
Mozart ME comes with a colorful interface and an intuitive design: on top of the main window you will be able to see the scrolling notes going from the right side to the left, and the instrument you chose to play on the bottom.
The game displays regular notes but also includes bonus notes, flyers, jumpers, bombs and much more. If you fail to play a certain note before it reaches the left end of the screen you lose a life point, while playing the note correctly adds points to your score. Of course, the difficulty level increases as the game develops.
Mozart ME provides support for 2 basic instruments: letters (c, d and e) and solfege (do, re and mi). Moreover, you can play four advanced instruments (bass, guitar, piano and mandolin). You can specify the input instrument in the Mozart ME Options window.
The same area allows you to choose the clef you want to play in (also, bass, tenor or treble), to reduce the scrolling speed, to specify if you are right or left handed (very useful if you are using string instruments) or to enable the training mode.
The application can be used for learning the notes and understanding basic notation rules without creating a stressful “studying” environment. At the same time, if you want to have a high score, you will involuntarily focus to improve your accuracy level without even realizing.
To conclude, Mozart ME is a great educational game that will help students of all ages learn to read musical sheets.
