Morphyre Visualiser For Mac

Morphyre Visualiser is a beautiful 3D music visualization application for Mac OS X. It runs as a standalone app (independently of iTunes) and includes 4 different effects, as well as support for keyboard shortcuts.

The application can generate thousands of unique scenes by ‘listening’ to the sound output from the music your Mac is playing, from connected microphones or from line in sources.

Morphyre Visualiser can display 4 scenes of different colors and with unique shapes and objects, such as chains, fire, cubes, disco balls, water, lightning, lines and more. All of these are dynamically represented by a myriad of colors.

As far as the controls go, the application comes with keyboard shortcuts for navigation and for changing the effects. As such, you can use “F” to enter fullscreen mode and the down / up arrow keys to select the next or previous scene.

Moreover, the Space bar can be used to switch scene and “L” to lock or unlock the scene. In addition to this, you can press “B” to switch to radial blur, “H” to choose high dynamic range, “S” for strobe and “N” to select the negate effect.

Taking everything into consideration, Morphyre Visualiser is a great way to visualize music on your Mac. The scenes are not very many but the ones that exist are impressive. The support for keyboard shortcuts is also definitely a plus.
