Flow For Mac

Flow is an intuitive and innovative DJ application designed for both novice and professional DJs. The application comes with various unique features, a modern and clean user interface and sheer ease-of-use. The Flow app features a straightforward user interface. When launching it for the first time, you can jump straight to one of the three main stages of Flow: Preparation, Play and Export.

From the Preparation stage, you can import and manage your local music into playlists, add and edit iTunes playlists and prepare each song. Also, when it’s imported for the first time, each song is automatically analyzed by checking its energy, key, BPM etc. The song preparation consists of creating, removing or splitting segments, checking the downbeat, editing the energy level (from 1 to 10) and selecting the adequate key.

A great benefit of using Flow is that it automatically detects segments in your songs and allows you to click on them to play them, thus going to one part of the song to another seamlessly. The track pane displays the list of music sources and all the tracks you’ve imported, which you can sort by clicking on the different columns: artist, song, key, BPM, energy, quality, date added and personalized status.

One of the features that sets Flow apart from the rest of the DJ apps on the market is the ability to corssfade and beatmatch inside the same tracks from the built-in decks, which helps create intriguing live remixes. This can be done from the Play screen.

The Play screen includes two DJ decks, the waveforms of each track, a separate pane with high, mid, low, volume and balance controllers, as well as a track browsing pane from which you can drag and drop songs to the decks. As for the Export screen, it allows you to browse your finished recordings by date and other parameters, and save them to your local disk or in a playlist.

To wrap it up, Flow makes it super easy to mix tracks during live mixing due to its highly intuitive interface, workflow and versatile features. The app is recommended for both beginner and advanced DJs.
