Metadatics comes with an intuitive interface from which you can easily load, preview and edit multiple songs at the same time. On top of that, Metadatics features support for numerous types of audio files such as MP3, M4A, AIFF, WAV, FLAC, APE, OGG, WMA and more.
From Metadatics’ main window, you can edit the metadata of one or multiple audio files with just a few keystrokes and mouse clicks. The General tab helps you view detailed information about the selected song like the track title and artist, album artist, year, composer, album, grouping, comments, genre, cover art and BPM value.
You can even access the Lyrics tab and view, add or edit the existing lyrics and check the file information. Hence, you can view the file format, length, size, bitrate, sample rate, channels, tag format and location of the selected song.
The context menu helps you add or remove files from the list, reveal the selected file in Finder, copy ore replace existing tags and look for metadata info and album artwork on different online sources. On top of that, you can access the Functions sub-menu and set the number sequence, remove empty tags, rename file, batch extract album artwork and get tags from file name.
By accessing the Album Artwork menu, you can add or remove artwork, extract, convert or resize the selected artwork and copy or paste artwork. In addition, you can check different online sources for album artwork and song metadata. You can search on Google, Amazon or Discogs for artwork and search through the MusicBrainz database for song metadata. When you are happy with your changes you can save the new metadata and update your library’s artwork and track information.
