MP3 SX Converter 1.1.0

MP3 SX offers the possibility to upgrade two-channel content into the 5.1 MP3 Surround format. It guarantees playback with a stable localization of singers and solo instruments even off the sweet spot.

Additionally, it creates an impressive feeling of envelopment using the ambience sounds already present in the stereo source.

This demoware of MP3 SX can convert existing stereo MP3 files into MP3 Surround. Stereo PCM files (e.g. in a .wav file) are not supported with this version of the software.

To be able to play MP3 Stereo eXtended files, a MP3 Surround Decoder or Player of Version 2.0 or newer is required. As MP3 Surround (and therefore also MP3 SX) is backwards compatible to MP3 Stereo, the files can be played back with any MP3 Stereo Player. In this case without the benefits of the multichannel reproduction.

Requirements:

· To play back MP3 Stereo eXtended files", a MP3 Surround Player or Decoder of Version 2.0 or newer is required.
· PowerPC G4/G5 or Intel CPU
· At least 128 MB memory
· At least 20 MB of available hard-disk space

Limitations:

· All forms of binary data other than ID3 V1 and V2 tags at the beginning or at the end of the MP3 Stereo input bitstream will not be available in the MP3 SX output file with the current version of the MP3 SX conversion software.
