Finetunes For Mac

Finetunes is a handy macOS application that enables you to play music and video files at different tempos in a snap. Finetunes can also play music while keeping the original pitch of the songs.

The application features a simple-to-use and intuitive user interface which includes  the player interface, a left (library) pane for browsing and organizing music, and a middle pane that displays all the audio / video files in selected playlists or folders.

From the Library pane, you can browse your local music, pin folders of music, create playlists which you can populate with the music from your local disk, or create groups (where folder references and playlists can be added).

Finetunes displays the number of songs in a list, as well as their total time. To play a song, simply double-click on it. The built-in player includes the standard progress bar and control buttons (play, pause, next, etc.).

In addition to this, the player also provides several advanced controls for the Bass, Treble, Balance and Gain. As for the fast forward controls, you can adjust the speed, pitch and scan speed of the playing song.

Finetunes can play tracks with speeds between 25% and 400% of the normal speed. What’s more, these values can be easily set using the integrated Speed bar below the player. Also, the supported file formats include each and every macOS supported audio file format with the added bonus of AKAI MPC 2000/3000 format SND files.

Another interesting feature is the fact that you can add markers which allow you to create playback loops from certain parts of the song. You can insert any number of markers and delete them with ease from their contextual menu.

As an added bonus, you can easily import media files from your iTunes library just by dragging and dropping them onto Finetunes’s window.

All things considered, the Finetunes application comes with a user-friendly interface with a clever design and some nice features for fast forwarding tracks while playing such as variable pitch and speed.
