ChordsMaestro is a macOS application that enables you to play various chords for the piano and 6 different string instruments, including the guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin and balalaika. It can be used as a chord learning app and as a tool for helping you compose new songs.
The application includes 29 different chords in each instrument that can be played using a designated button. The sounds are crystal clear and have been recorded using real instruments. An echoing sound effect is added to each chord.
Moreover, you can also view the representation of chords on song sheets, piano illustrations and through real-life photos. What is great is that you can drag and drop these images to any app for future reference.
Another important function is the ability to create chord sequences by clicking on the + and - sings at the bottom of the window. As soon as you select a chord, simply add it to your sequence. Optionally, you can save it to the list of favorites, so you an play them again.
ChordsMaestro comes with a highly intuitive main window where all the options are laid out in a clear fashion. Nevertheless, it also includes a brief introductory guide that will help you understand what each function in the user interface does.
ChordsMaestro is a handy application for novice musicians who want to learn and use a variety of chords from multiple instruments. It also helps you create your own chord sequences and view TAB, sheet and photo representations.
