Cadence Desktop Pro For Mac

Cadence Desktop Pro is a very simple to use Mac OS X application that enables you to determine the beat per minute of the DRM-free songs in your iTunes library. As a result, the app is designed to help users create playlists based on the BPM value of songs.

The workflow of Cadence Desktop Pro is quite straightforward. Once you open the app, it can scan your iTunes library, after which it displays their name, time, artist, album, the current BPM and the D-BPM (the BPM value you gave or will give to the song).

Like any BPM application, Cadence Desktop Pro enables you to determine the BPM of a song by listening to it and then tapping a button (or hitting the space bar) according to the beat of the track.

To make things easier, the application can play each detected song with a simple double click. You can also use a play / pause button. In essence, you must tap at least 10 times for the app to correctly determine the BPM of your song.

BPM values can be quickly exported to iTunes via a big “Export” button. Also, if you want to analyze your music library again, use the button next to the “Export” one. Both the analysis and export actions are quite fast, but depend on the size of your iTunes music library.

Cadence Desktop Pro offers extra flexibility through its Preferences window. For example, you can choose to not display songs with BPM values or with DRM protection, choose to get notified when the analysis and / or import is complete, to disable multi-core support or to prompt for iTunes location on startup.
