Bubble Tuner For Mac

Designed for users that are passionate about playing musical instruments, Bubble Tuner is a streamlined OS X app that makes it as easy as possible for you to fine tune your instruments using your Mac.

Because tuning musical instruments by year can never be done with full accuracy, this software solution for chromatic tuning uses your Mac’s built-in microphone to listen to your instruments.

In just a couple of minutes, Bubble Tuner will detect all the notes played, compare the sound with its built-in preloads of the most popular tunings, and provide you with the exact changes that need to be made to your instrument.

And it’s not that hard to work with either, as Bubble Tuner comes with a straightforward and user-friendly interface with two musical tuning modes, namely Cents Gauge and an HZ / Octave Graph.

Besides that, the application’s main window is split into three parts: on the left side you can find the Instruments panel with tunings for guitars, viols, and violins, in the middle the Cents Gauge or the HZ / Octave Graph, depending on what you prefer, and on the right side you will find a panel that displays notes, octaves, and frequencies.

The Octave Graph is the most beginner-orientated of the two modes, as it enables you to see the actual rise and fall for the pitch. Both modes work hand in hand and basically detect octaves, frequencies, cents, and semitones.

Of course, besides the built-in tunings, you can always add you very own custom instrument tunings. Within Bubble Tuner’s Preferences menu, you can change the values for the reference pitch, decimal places, and for the cents.

You can also customize the color used by Bubble Tuner to display when or if your instrument is or isn’t quite in tune, as well as to setup the app to fine tune the instrument for very high, high, average, deep, or very deep notes.

Bubble Tuner may not look like much, but don’t be fooled, because this little OS X app is one skillful tuner that will make your instruments sound their absolute best.
