BeotsMusic for Mac
BeotsMusic is a simple and intuitive Mac OS X application specially designed to help you listen to your songs and playlists from Beats Music.
Helps you access your Beats Music account and play music
Thanks to BeotsMusic, you can easily login with your Beats Music account, listen to and discover new music and artists, create playlists, dislike, like or share songs and expand your music library.
BeotsMusic comes with a minimalistic-looking user interface that offers instant access to your Beats Music account and helps you control the player with a couple of mouse clicks or keystrokes. In other words, BeotsMusic acts as a dedicated browser window for the Beat Music web app.
Consequently, BeotsMusic enables you to access and listen to songs from your online music library and use the provided features without opening another tab in your web browser.
Effortlessly control the player with the help of your Mac’s Media Keys
On top of that, BeotsMusic offers you the option to take control over the Beats Music player using your Mac’s Media Keys. Hence, you no longer have to switch between application windows in order to play, pause or skip a song.
In addition, BeotsMusic seamlessly integrates with OS X’s Notification Center and displays notifications with the song name, artist and artwork every time a song is played.
Mac users familiar with the Beats Music web app will be happy to know that the left side slide menu helps you find the desired song, artist or album, view your own music library and check your subscription status.
Search, find and add new artists, songs and albums to your library
As follows, you can instantly search and discover new artists and songs, add tracks to your playlists, adjust the sound volume and enable or disable the repeat or shuffle playback mode.
Moreover, BeotsMusic gives you access to the sharing features that you can use to share a new track with your friends and family via Facebook or Twitter.
On the bad side, BeotsMusic might prove to be unresponsive at times and even slow down your Mac even during idle. We witnessed a constant CPU load of 75% during runtime that significantly deteriorated the performance of the used Mac. Hopefully, future version will fix this problem and add new features designed to improve your experience.
