Makes audio recording a breeze for both experienced and novice users
Audio Hijack Pro comes with an iTunes-like user interface from which you can easily handle all your recordings, reveal them in Finder, send them to iTunes, edit or burn them to a disc. From the Recording Bin tab, you can also run various scripts to add your recording to iPod, iTunes playlist or even encode it using iTunes.
Thanks to the Quick Record side tab, you can easily select the input source, decide on the recording format, provide an output folder and add various effects. Consequently, you can record the sound of anything from Skype, FaceTime and multimedia players to audio devices, radio and system audio in the desired audio format.

The great thing about Audio Hijack Pro, is that you can easily add as many audio effects as you like with just a couple of mouse clicks. All provided effects are grouped into different categories and, once added, can be easily adjusted and modified according to your needs.
What is more, Audio Hijack Pro allows you to create multiple personalized recording profiles, which you can schedule to start and stop at the desired time and day of the week. It is worth mentioning that you are required to install the Schedule Helper in order to take advantage of this feature.

It is also recommended to install the Instant On extra if you want capture sound from applications that are already running, all system audio at one or the Safari web browser.
As expected, each profile can be customized via the Recording, Tags and Effects tabs. Hence, you can set the audio quality level, file storage location and even limit the size of the output file. Moreover, you can provide metadata information such as title, artist, album, BPM value, track number, lyrics and even artwork.
