AU Lab is a powerful and flexible digital mixing application that enables you to mix audio from various devices, as well as audio generated by Audio Unit Instrument or Generator.

Helps you test audio units, perform live mixing and route audio through effects

With AU Lab’s help you can host Audio Unit effects and route the audio signal through the desired effects with just a couple of mouse clicks.

In addition, AU Lab’s high performance and low overhead audio engine comes with support for multiple outputs, compatibility for multichannel and advanced routing features such as send buses and sidechain buses.

On top of that, AU Lab features MIDI clock facilities for audio units that also support host clock synchronization.

You also have access to handy inspector that provides a cocoa-based generic view of audio units that do not come with their own user interface. Additionally, the inspector offers full support for preset management and comes with the tools required for MIDI mapping of audio unit parameters.

Easily record your audio mixes and take control over your audio units

Moreover, AU Lab’s built-in recorder helps you record your sessions with ease. However, the recording features is not designed for extensive recording, it is intended as a platform reference Audio Unit host, and, as a result, it can be used for Audio Unit auditioning and live applications.

From AU Lab’s main window, you can easily create new documents that are associate with various input and output audio devices connected to your system. Consequently, AU Lab allows you to specify the desired input and output track configurations and define your own speaker layout via the Document Configuration dialog.

Create multiple Configuration Profiles and manage them with ease

The left side panel makes it easy for you to manage multiple configuration profiles and create user configurations with custom settings and layouts. Hence, you can add as many inputs and outputs as you like and name your profiles accordingly.
