PhotoSync offers you the possibility to transfer content between your desktop and Android or iOS devices by taking advantage of your wireless network.

Just install the PhotoSync client app on both sides, make sure they are connected to the same WiFi, and configure the transfers in no time.

Besides the desktop clients for Mac and Windows machines, PhotoSync features companion apps for iOS and Android devices. Note that the PhotoSync utility has to be installed on both devices to establish a connection.

Worth mentioning is that via the PhotoSync mobile app you get to send images and videos to an extensive list of output locations.

The PhotoSync mobile app can work with WebDAV, FTP, or SMB servers, send the items to cloud storage services (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, Amazon Cloud Drive, and more), or to image sharing services such as Picasa, Flickr, or Facebook.

However, the PhotoSync desktop application is designed to help you transfer the media files to and from the mobile devices connected to the same WiFi network.

The PhotoSync app will automatically download files sent from the mobile app, and you can select the gadget as a destination when configuring a new transfer from the desktop side.

On the desktop side, you get to rely on the PhotoSync app to send image or video files to the mobile companion app. At the same time, if you send items from the mobile app to the desktop, the utility will download them automatically and launch the output folder.

Keep in mind that you can start the transfer process by simply dropping items on top of the PhotoSync Dock or status bar icon. The same area allows you to set the default transfer location when receiving files (a directory, or the iPhoto, Aperture, or Photos library).

When sending image or video files, PhotoSync can sort the files by name or date, while also applying resizing presets.

What's new in PhotoSync 4.2:

  • Fixed: Improved handling of network timeouts
  • Fixed: Non allowed characters in filenames are now replaced with an underscore
