If you've been reading the news lately, you would know by now that Valve's new Steam Controller and Steam Link devices are not compatible with the Mac OS X computer operating system.

Long story short, a few weeks ago, Valve received a lot of complaints from many angry Mac gamers who pre-ordered either the Steam Controller or Steam Link devices, or both, and discovered that they don't work correctly on OS X (any version).

Shortly, Valve apologized to all Mac OS X users, and as a consolation prize, they pushed the Valve Complete Pack to their Steam accounts, which includes all of Valve's games (past, present and future), promising that a fix would arrive in a few weeks.

Well, today is the day, as Valve updated the Steam Client Beta on November 12, 2015, with a fix for the issue where the Steam Controller failed to work on Mac OS X after exiting and relaunching the Big Picture mode.

Also, the November 12 Steam Client Beta update makes the Steam Link streaming device to detect attached controllers in the Settings panels. Valve now says that all these fixes will land in the stable build of the Steam Client in the coming days.

If you're a Mac gamer and have a Steam Controller and/or Steam Link device, you can switch to Steam Client Beta by going to the Steam menu on the menubar, click on Preferences, click the "Change" button under Account's Beta Participation section.

There, you need to select the "Steam Beta Update" from the drop-down list, click the "OK" button, and restart the Steam Client. That's it, you're now on the Beta channel! Don't forget to drop a comment below to confirm if the devices work or not.
