Steve Jobs is finally getting the biopic his fans believe he deserved. Not that Ashton Kutcher didn’t give it his best, with the poorly received “Jobs” in 2013, but he’s no match for Michael Fassbender in terms of range and talent. Add Danny Boyle, Kate Winslet and more talent into the mix, and you’re looking at an Oscar hopeful.

“Steve Jobs” is coming out in October this year and will aim to deliver a biopic worthy of a man as praised and controversial as the late Jobs was. It has a new trailer out now, which should get the movie buff in you giddy with excitement with the promise of stellar acting and no shortage of drama for all the characters.

You can see it in full and in HD below.

Fans’ biggest gripe with having Fassbender cast as Jobs was, well, the fact that he looks nothing like him. That’s apparent throughout the trailer as well: while from certain angles, he bears a certain resemblance, most of the time, he doesn’t.

My guess is that producers wanted to find someone who could replicate on camera Jobs’ energy, rather than his physicality.

This trailer also offers a good look at Fassbender as Jobs in various moments in life, and he seems to have lost some weight to add more credibility to the character when his health took a turn for the worse.

Based off a script by Aaron Sorkin, “Steve Jobs” also stars Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels. Will you be seeing it in theaters when it opens?
