Immediately after releasing the Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite and iOS 8.4.1 software updates, Apple pushed the second maintenance release of the iTunes 12.2 audio playback and music organizer software to Mac OS X and Windows users worldwide.

Besides the usual improvements to overall performance and stability, iTunes 12.2.2 resolves several issues with the Apple Music service, such as the navigation problem where the app loses its place, and the ability to view a list with all the artists you are currently following.

iTunes 12.2.2 brings some enhancements for Beats 1 radio lovers, as it now allows them to view what's currently playing or a list of upcoming shows just by clicking on the Beats 1 banner. Also, the application will now correctly sort artists in the My Music section.

There are also some improvements for artists, as they are now able to share their thoughts, as well as videos, music, and photos via the Connect section. Last but not least, the playlists shown in the action menu will now match the playlists in your music library.

While Mac OS X users can update iTunes to version 12.2.2 via the Mac App Store application, you can also download the iTunes 12.2.2 installers for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now via Softpedia or directly from the project's website.
