NPR, formerly National Public Radio, is now available on Apple’s iTunes Radio on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, and any computer with iTunes installed. Digital streams include Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and hourly newscasts.

A privately and publicly funded non-profit membership media organization, NPR (formerly National Public Radio) serves as a national syndicator to a network of 900 public radio stations in the United States. Now, you can find it in iTunes Radio.

According to the official announcement on npr.org, “You'll have one more place to find public radio content starting Monday: Anywhere you can play iTunes, you'll find NPR.”

Digital streams will include the Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and hourly newscasts, all available on 24/7 via the all-new iTunes Radio NPR station.

“What you hear today is just the start of what's to come,” said Zach Brand, NPR's vice president of digital media. “Later this spring, the station will expand to include streams of our member stations from across the country,” the group said.

NPR has high hopes of one day reaching an audience as big as Pandora’s, perhaps even larger, and this is just one of many steps to come. Learn more about NPR’s expansion plans at niemanlab.org.
