Apple engineer replies to email, says fix is on the way
Apple has reportedly confirmed to an iTunes Match user that the company is working to fix a bug in the service that serves up censored versions of songs with explicit content.Several users have been able to confirm that a great deal of rap songs have had their profanities removed and replaced by radio-edit versions. A 9to5mac reader reportedly emailed Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services to ask if this was, indeed, a flaw on Apple’s side.
The user received a response from one of Eddy Cue’s engineers, who confirmed to him that it was a bug, and that Apple was investigating the issue. A fix is on the way, according to this person. An ETA was not provided.
