New Macs supported, improved GPU monitoring, numerous bugs fixed

Monitoring app iStat Menus 4.20 is available for download with a number of improvements, renewed system compatibility, and a lot of fixes. The software now supports the latest Macs.

iStat Menus is a very powerful monitoring utility that gives you a bird’s eye view on what’s going on inside your Mac, including the temperature of the chips, how fast the hard disks are spinning, how much memory is being used and why, the network speed, and all kinds of stuff.

iStat Menus 4.20 now offers full support for Mac Pro (Late 2013) models and improved support for Late 2013 MacBook Pro and iMac computers. The software can now monitor multiple GPUs and supports OS X Mavericks too. Some bug fixes and improvements are also included in this version, all of which are highlighted below.

• Fixed some display bugs in Network and Disk Activity history graphs. • Fixed some calendar display bugs. • Fixed a crash in the Sensors extra in Mavericks. • Fixed a layout issue with long IPv6 addresses. • Improved support for loading a large number of events in the Time extra. • Improved error handling when calendar event database isn't available. • Fixed some issues after migrating to a new mac. • Fixed some issues when iStat Menus is installed in /Applications/Utilities.

Download iStat Menus on any Intel Mac with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (or newer) installed. Newcomers can try the software in trial mode for 14 days.
