Apple’s rumored Pandora-like radio service is definitely coming out, according to sources within the music industry speaking on condition of anonymity.

The Verge reports that “multiple music industry insiders” have told the site that “significant progress has been made in the talks with two of the top labels: Universal and Warner.”

One of the sources is quoted as saying, “iRadio is coming. There's no doubt about it anymore.” Apple is reportedly planning to roll out the music streaming service this summer.

In the report, RIAA's CEO Cary Sherman explains why this move is vitally important to Apple.

The Cupertino giant has previously been rumored to acquire Pandora itself, the free, personalized radio service that plays the music you choose, when you choose it.

Apple’s announcement could come as soon as this June, when the company typically holds its annual Worldwide Developers Conference.
