Racing simulation service iRacing is finally available for Mac users, president Tony Gardner announced this week, adding, “I think we will be the only serious racing game or simulation that runs on the Mac.”

The Mac-native version of iRacing will allow passionate users to join over 45,000 dedicated race gamers and sim-racers all over the globe and compete with iRacing’s huge range of race cars, tracks, and challenges.

Not only is it supported on the Mac now, but iRacing also includes full support for the Occulus Rift virtual reality headset, thanks to a recent update.

The developers coded the Mac version of iRacing to be “consistent with the features and content available to iRacers using PCs, including quarterly releases of new features and enhancements,” according to the official announcement.

Requirements include OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Intel HD 4000 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 6GB free hard drive space, and a microphone if you’re planning to do some voice chatting online.
