Brian White, an analyst with investment bank Topeka Capital Markets, has a few predictions up his sleeve regarding Apple’s next few moves on the smartphone front.

In addition to the biometric iPhone 5S, Apple is also preparing to launch a cheaper version of the handset, made of plastic.

“The ‘iPhone mini’ will have a curved back casing made of colored plastic and will be thicker than the iPhone 5,” White said.

The analyst added that the phone could have the same 4-inch screen size as the iPhone 5, but he didn’t mention whether he expected that screen to be Retina-grade.

The pricing will be between $350 to $400 (267-305 Euro) in the United States, which “will provide relief for those investors concerned that Apple would be sacrificing too much margin or brand to serve the lower price band of the smartphone market,” White said in a research note obtained by Forbes.
