What if the iPhone 7 had no home button?

While Samsung is prepping its next-gen Galaxy Note beast, Apple is hard at work on its next-gen iPhone 6s model that will probably see the light of day this fall.

The general consensus is that Apple won’t jump ahead and launch an iPhone 7 this year, but some designers prefer to think about the distant future, and not the immediate one.

It’s the case of Deviant Art's Studio Monroe, who came up with a rather interesting iPhone 7 concept. For starters, it’s completely bezel-less. And it doesn’t feature a Home button either.

How would such a setup work, you might be wondering. The key to answering this question is Apple’s newly unveiled Touch Force technology.

This innovative system uses pressure-sensitive technology to detect how much pressure is inflicted upon the display. Force Touch is used to bring about more input options and is currently embedded in the Apple Watch and new Retain MacBook.

With this concept, Force Touch is built into the screen to emulate the Home button and get rid of its physical existence.

The phone has a 4.7-inch display and the glass seems a bit curved, maybe more than the usual 2.5D glass we’ve seen on some Chinese handsets.

What do you think?
