Dutch designer Martin Hajek shows us what Apple’s next iPhones might look like

Rumors continue to swirl regarding two potential new iPhone models from Apple in the near future, and while these reports are indeed quite mixed, designers are doing a great job at showing us what to expect from a visual standpoint.

Commissioned by Steve Hemmerstoffer for nowhereelse.fr, these iPhone mockups are the work of Dutch designer Martin Hajek, based on Hemmerstoffer’s own ideas of how Apple could increase the screen size without bulking up the hardware.

The result was an iPhone concept that does away with the Home button in favor of a clickable (touch-sensitive) surface that doesn’t require Apple to keep the screen at a great distance from the edge.

Mind you, the photos don’t represent the iPhone 5S and the rumored low-cost (plastic) iPhone reportedly coming out this year, but rather the iPhone 6 (reportedly slated for 2014) and a much-speculated iPhone “Plus” model that allegedly boasts a 5-inch display.

Some comparison shots featuring the existing iPhone 5 can also be found in the gallery below.

The next-gen mockups take cues from the iPad mini, whose fine edges and slopes are becoming the design standard at Apple.
