Mockups created by Martin Hajek make for a “clash of the mobile titans” of sorts

Dutch designer Martin Hajek is making a lot of headlines lately. He likes to create concept images of various Apple products, and he’s pretty accurate too. His latest work is a size comparison between Apple’s iPhone 5 and Samsung’s Galaxy S4.

The images put forth by Hajek are mockups - i.e. renderings based on the actual tech specs dished out by the two smartphone manufacturers, including promotional images.

As you’d imagine, the S4 is visibly larger than the iPhone 5. Thicker too, but not by much. Samsung’s tech specs page says it’s also a tad heavier, something even common sense will tell you when you put the two side by side.

From a design standpoint, declaring which one’s better looking is a rather subjective matter. Apple obviously uses more expensive materials, and the micron-grade polishing helps with the iPhone 5’s looks too.

Samsung’s device is nothing to sneeze at either. In the end, they’re just two really different smartphones. And it’s up to the customer to choose which one fits him / her best. Check out the gallery below.
