Apple is preparing to deploy iPhone 4S in several new territories this month, and one of them is Brazil, where carrier Claro has posted a promotional page confirming the December 16th launch date.

Claro advertises the new device (Google-translated) mentioning the more powerful A5 chip and iOS 5, “the world’s most advanced mobile operating system”, as well as features that have been around for a while, such as FaceTime and the Retina Display.

The iPhone 4S, however, brings lots more new stuff to the table. Besides the 8-megapixel camera, the phone comes pre-loaded with the everyone’s favorite personal assistant, Siri.

Claro is yet to post the plans and their respective pricing for the iPhone 4S, but it’s reasonable to assume these won’t differ much from those offered by iPhone carriers in other territories.
