Nvidia boss demos Battlefield 3 running on Kepler Mobile

In the video embedded above, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang shows off a demo of Kepler Mobile, the company’s latest graphics chip in a comparison with the A6X chip in Apple’s iPad.

The demo starts out by showing what the newest iPad can do in terms of 3D graphics in a large, open space, and then switches over to Battlefield 3 running on Kepler Mobile.

“We want to get multiple years ahead of the competition,” Huang said, adding that iPads only achieve “vintage 1999” graphics.

Of course, it would have been a more compelling comparison had Huang actually shown the same environment (gameplay scene) running on both platforms.

In the video above, the first demo shows what the iPad can do, and it cuts over to the Kepler Mobile video after that.
