Macfixit Australia is flashing a photo gallery which reportedly depicts the front glass panel and digitizer from the iPad 5.

At first glance, nothing seems really new (considering all the similar leaks over the past few months), but one technical specification in particular is said to mark a departure from the current internal design of the iPad.

Namely, the connectors from the digitizer (which communicates input to the CPU) “have been changed from FFC (Flat Flexible Cable, like the iPad 2/3/4) to FPC (Flexible Printed Circuits, like the iPhone 4/5)," according to Macfixit Australia.

Other details include that the the display area is exactly the same as in the iPad with Retina display; the bezel is narrower; the design is similar to that of the iPad mini; the ITO (Indium tin oxide) coating is present; and there are now two (digitizer) connectors instead of one.
