4th-generation iPad inventory begins to slip following iPad mini strain

As Apple continues to struggle to fulfill demand for the all-new iPad mini, the company is now experiencing shortage of the fourth-generation 9.7-inch iPad as well.

The iPad 4, which comes with a powerful processor, enhanced cameras, and advanced wireless capabilities, is now officially sold out at Apple. The initial batch of orders will be fulfilled this Friday, as promised.

Any orders placed starting today will arrive in one week, according to the listings over at store.apple.com.

Cellular models are even farther off. To get a Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad 4, you need to wait until mid-November for the tablet to arrive.

And don’t cling on that 1-week shipping estimate for too long either. If demand continues to be on the rise, the shipping time for a new iPad 4 could be pushed to two weeks in just a few days.
