The first round of iOS 8 screenshots has just been leaked courtesy of a Weibo user. The leak comes moments after new details emerged regarding Apple’s plans to implement iOS versions of the OS X-native TextEdit and Preview apps.

Mere minutes after Mark Gurman boasted new intel from sources with knowledge of Apple’s iOS 8 software, the images you see scattered above and below leaked out on the Chinese version of Twitter, Sina Weibo.

According to Gurman, who is known to have reliable sources, the screenshots are the real deal: “Even though the source of the images is absolutely uncertain, I have confirmed with several sources that these shots are legitimate,” he writes.

In accordance with the previous leak, the shots give away the look of Apple’s TextEdit and Preview app icons, as well as the Healthbook app icon that 9to5mac reported on back in February. It’s all coming together nicely in these images, and all the information about iOS 8 offered so far seems perfectly accurate.

Of course, Apple can change its mind three times over before fitting these exact application names and icons into iOS 8, but so far, this is the direction they’re going with the new software. Don’t forget to check out the rest of the images below.
