According to BGR, Apple plans to release the iOS 8.2 software update for its iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices ahead of the “Spring Forward” event on March 9, where the Cupertino-based company will reveal more details about the highly anticipated Apple Watch smartwatch.

The next major update of the powerful iOS mobile operating system, version 8.2, has been in Beta stages for some time, so you should expect a great number of performance improvements, lots of bug fixes, as well as a handful of new features, including support for Apple Watch, most probably.

While the current version of iOS is 8.1.3, users will get the major 8.2 update sometime next week, most likely on Monday, as BGR reports. On the other hand, the website states that the forthcoming iOS 8.3 software update, currently in Beta stages, should follow iOS 8.2 closely and will include multiple new features and more improvements.

We remind you that on March 9, Apple will hold a media event where the company will most probably reveal the release date for Apple Watch, as well as exact details about its price, so make sure you watch this space for updates. Until then, don’t forget to check your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch device(s) for updates starting Monday, March 2, as well as download the “Spring Forward” wallpapers.
