A WWDC developer session demoing various features in iOS 7 has revealed that Apple plans to include a Voice Memos application in the software. The beta currently in testing doesn’t offer the app, though.

According to a leaked image from a WWDC developer session, Apple is planning to include a Voice Memos app in the final version of iOS 7.

The leak was perceived with skepticism until one person with access to the release notes of iOS 7 Beta 1 showed that the documentation makes a clear reference to the Voice Memo application.

The changelog mentions the app in the Known Issues section, where Apple states, “The VoiceMemos app is not available in this seed.”

iOS 7 will debut this fall for iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPads (starting with the second-generation model), and iPod touch players (5th-generation models).
