14 DAY TRIAL // One of the enhancements that Apple included in the latest beta flavor of its iOS 7 mobile operating system is meant to make the stealing of devices harder than before, by adding a password input requirement when trying to disable the Find My iPhone feature.
All devices running under the platform will have the feature, including the iPad, which should increase the level of security that users enjoy on their Apple mobile products.
As AppleInsider notes, although some people might not set a lockscreen passcode, the new feature would still make it harder for thieves to turn off the Find My iPhone feature.
Of course, one could also turn off the device or remove the SIM card from it to bypass the functionality, but the extra level of security is still a welcome addition to iOS 7.
