Apple’s iOS 7 Beta 3 is starting to reveal new details about the company’s plans with the mobile software, including a WiFi-compatible in-the-car feature to put several services on the car’s console display.

iOS in the Car can work over WiFi, which corroborates earlier findings that the software will be AirPlay-enabled for drivers.

The feature was discovered by Hamza Sood as a hidden function in iOS 7’s internal Accessory Developer options.

9to5mac has heard from its sources that Apple is already working on iOS 7.1 (or another incremental update to follow after iOS 7.0 makes its debut) which will deliver support for iOS-in-the-Car.

Apple has already confirmed that iOS-in-the-Car will be released next year, and several car makers will support the feature at launch.
