People familiar with Apple’s progress in developing iOS 7 for its fall debut have revealed to BGR that the sixth beta is coming in a matter of days.

The respective sources reportedly couldn’t pinpoint the exact day on which Apple will seed the software to developers, but they did tell the site that “the final beta software release for developers will take place next week.”

Typically, Apple has released new iOS betas on Mondays.

Another interesting tidbit is also dished out, and that is, “After iOS 7 beta 6, Apple will be seeding a GM (gold master) version for its employees and partners to test starting around September 5th.”

iOS 7 Beta 6 will thus be the last beta seeded to developers before the Golden Master build makes its way onto test iPhones and iPads.

The GM is regularly the same build that Apple rolls out to the public, which means iOS 7 could well be released on September 10 when the company is rumored to hold a special event.
