By now you may have already heard that old-generation devices are having trouble coping with the hardware demands of iOS 7, but not everyone has seen the software running on an iPhone 4.

Now you can, thanks to adrianisen, who thoughtfully uploaded this benchmark video of the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4 running the latest iOS version which is currently in development at Apple.

On Geekbench, the iPhone 5 scored 1672 points, whereas the 2010 iPhone 3 managed to get just a 395 score.

FPS-wise (using a different benchmarking tool for graphical performance), the iPhone 5 recorded an average of 58 frames per second, whereas the iPhone 4 only got 3. That’s right. Three frames per second, or just enough to make you consider buying a new iPhone.

Of course, since iOS 7 is in beta, Apple still has time to smoothen out the iPhone 4 experience. But don’t expect any miracles. The phone is turning 3 in a couple of months.
