Pangu tool remains unpatched in the latest iOS firmware from Apple

For one reason or another, Apple has not patched the exploits used by the Pangu jailbreak tool with the release of iOS 7.1.2 yesterday, and the tool has been confirmed as working with the new firmware.

No additional requirements are listed for jailbreaking iOS 7.1.2 with Pangu 1.1, the updated version of the tool that offers an English interface and a Mac-compatible binary.

All you need to do is back up your device using iTunes, launch Pangu on your Mac or Windows PC, connect the device to your computer with the cable supplied by Apple, hit the Jailbreak button, and follow the remaining instructions. Before you know it, you’ll be jailbroken and browsing Cydia for the latest tweaks and hacks.

Jailbreaking remains frowned upon at Apple, so expect the Pangu tool to become nonoperational when iOS 8 ships. A jailbreak for iOS 8 Beta 1 and Beta 2 is currently in the works by BlackGeek (as reported earlier today), but it will likely become unusable as well when the final version of the OS becomes publicly available this fall.

The Pangu jailbreak tool is available for download at the supplied link, and we have you covered with a guide to get you up and running with the tool as well. Visit the links below for more jailbreak-related stuff.
