Apple may include a Do Not Disturb feature in its next iOS

A report by the Wall Street Journal, the one-stop place for confirming Apple rumors, says Apple’s upcoming iOS 6 will equip iPhone users with a feature reminiscent of Mountain Lion’s Do Not Disturb.

Citing a person familiar with the development of Apple’s iPhone 5, the WSJ says the phone has been in the works for over a year now, and that it will boast a larger display, a redesigned body, and LTE support.

It will ship with improvements to Siri, Passbook, “and new call-blocking features,” the Journal reported.

Picked up by the Mac blogosphere, that tidbit we put between inverted commas signals the upcoming inclusion of Apple’s Do Not Disturb feature in iOS 6.

While Notification Center originates from iOS, it only got the blocking feature in OS X Mountain Lion. Apple now seems poised to implement this option in its mobile operating system too.
