Owners of an A5-powered device (and newer) can now safely jailbreak using p0sixspwn, a new Mac-only utility that provides an untethered hack for post-iPhone 4 devices.

The hackers responsible for p0sixspwn are iH8sn0w, winocm, and SquiffyPwn, all well-known figures on the jailbreak scene. The untethered hack is said to support iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, and 6.1.5 on all A5+ devices (which includes A6 processors too).

Currently, p0sixspwn is available for Mac users only, but a Windows-compatible version will be released shortly, according to iClarified.

The full list of compatible devices is: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and all iPad models.

iOS 7 users can jailbreak using Evasi0n7, the new jailbreak tool from the Evad3rs. This utility is supported on both Mac and Windows computers.
