iPhone users on various forums (including Apple’s) are reporting an issue with their iMessage application after updating to iOS 6.1.3. The problem involves sending photos over a cellular connection which, apparently, the app can’t do anymore.

Apple’s iMessage application enables users to send both text and imagery to other owners of iOS devices. The app even supports sending videos (with audio) as well. However, some customers are reporting issues with this function after installing iOS 6.1.3.

One customer writing on Apple Support Communities says, “…iMessage not sending pictures since update. It will send text format, I have tried all I can via the forums with no success.”

The user, identified as andylew0 on the Apple forum, explains that the problem is particularly visible when trying to send images over 3G.

Another user confirms the issue: “Yep, I am having the same issue after upgrading to 6.1.3....can send iMessages with TEXT but as soon as I try to send a photo via iMessage I get ‘Not Delivered.’ I can recieve [sic] photos via iMessage without any issues,” writes tcsm_nz on the same board.

Other forums are also discussing the problem, such as this one, and this one. Looks like Apple needs to prepare another list of fixes for iOS 6.1.4.
