Immediately after informing multiple members of the press about its upcoming September 9 event by sending invites entitled "Hey Siri, give us a hit," Apple has confirmed that it will stream the iPhone 6s event to Mac OS X and, for the first time ever, Windows users.

That's right, if you have the latest operating system from Microsoft, Windows 10, you will be able to see the live event on September 9 using the Microsoft Edge web browser. Of course, Mac OS X users can also see the event using the Safari web browser.

Apple's live-streaming event will use the HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) technology and requires iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch devices running iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac that runs at least OS X 10.8.5, and a PC with Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge, according to Apple.

Additionally, users will also be able to watch the unveiling of the next iPhone devices on September 9 using a second- or third-generation Apple TV that runs at least software 6.2. You can see all the requirements on the special events page created by Apple on its website.

We remind you that Softpedia will also have a live blog, right here on this page, where we will highlight all the important moments of Apple's September 9 event. It is rumored that Apple will unveil new iPhone devices, as well as more details about the next major releases of the iOS and OS X operating systems.
