Another day, another developer Beta milestone is unleashed by Apple to devs enrolled into the Apple Developers, this time for the upcoming watchOS 3.1 operating system for Apple Watch devices.

Tagged as build 14S471, the watchOS 3.1 Beta 3 pre-release has been published today, October 12, 2016, and it is accessible from your Apple Developer account in the Downloads section. To install it, you'll need first to install the configuration profile directly on your Apple Watch device.

Of course, you must also use the latest Beta of the iOS 10.1 mobile operating system on a registered iPhone device if you want to have an out-of-the-box experience and communicate with your Apple Watch device running watchOS 3.1. OTA updates will be sent this way for future Beta snapshots as well.

Don't forget that this is a Beta quality software, which means that some issues exist and will be fixed in upcoming releases. The watchOS 3.1 SDK is available for those who want to develop watchOS apps. It contains a full set of Xcode tools, compilers, and frameworks for developing Apple Watch applications.

For known issues and instructions on how to report bugs that you may found during your test driving of the watchOS 3.1 Beta 3 build, please consult the release notes document attached to the download in your Apple Developer account. Also there you'll find the Xcode 8.1 Beta 3 IDE, macOS 10.12.1 Sierra Beta 4, iOS 10.1 Beta 3, and tvOS 10.0.1 Beta 3.
