Today, October 27, 2016, Apple has invited several media outlets to a press conference where a new line of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air computers could be unveiled.
As we reported last week, the event is dubbed "Hello Again" and it's all about Apple showing the world the next-generation of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptop computers. If we're lucky, we might even get to see a new line of iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro, all of which haven't got an update in years.
Viewers should expect to see thinner 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro computers boasting the new USB Type-C port introduced in last year's MacBook, with OLED touchscreen and Touch ID support implemented on the keyboard, which could be wider and without an Esc key. Last but not least, the internals will be upgraded with new Intel processors for better graphics and performance.
On the other hand, the MacBook Air line should also be refreshed with the USB Type-C port and upgraded internals. Some say that we might also see a new device sporting a powerful ARM processor, but it's only a rumor for now. All computers will be running the new macOS Sierra operating system, and if you're curious to know what Apple has in store for us this year, we invite you to join our live blog below.
Apple's "Hello Again" event is taking place on the company’s campus in Cupertino and starts at 10:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 p.m. ET or 5:00 p.m. GMT). It will be live streamed for those using Safari on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device running iOS 7.0 or later, Safari 6.0.5 or later on a Mac running Mac OS X 10.8.5 or higher, or a Windows 10 PC with the Microsoft Edge.
You can also watch it on an Apple TV device with software 6.2 or later, as well as on a 4th generation Apple TV. Our live blog will try to cover the highlights of the event in real time, with screenshots and comments, and will refresh automatically. We hope you'll have a great time with us, and we do thank all of you for your support so far.
