Two weeks after announcing the release of the iTunes 12.2 media player software for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems, Apple has pushed earlier today the first bug fix version that patches some of the most annoying issues reported by users.

According to the internal changelog published on the Mac App Store, iTunes 12.2.1 is here to patch that nasty issue every iTunes Match subscriber had with its existing music library. Also, some improvements and minor bug fixes were added for the Beats 1 radio streaming service.

The first point release of iTunes 12.2 also fixes issues that existing iTunes Match users reported when using the brand-new Apple Music audio streaming service, as iTunes incorrectly changed some songs from Matched.

It is strongly recommended that you update your iTunes installation to version 12.2.1 as soon as possible. You can download iTunes 12.2.1 for Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia.

As usual, Mac OS X users can update the application directly from the Mac App Store. Just open the app, go to the Updates tab and wait for the new iTunes version to be listed. Click the "Update" button in front of the iTunes 12.2.1 entry to update.
