Since Apple unveiled its MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and Touch ID, users have asked themselves a big question: is this new OLED display going to be implemented on the standalone, wireless Magic Keyboard, while maintaining an affordable price and acceptable battery life?

Regardless of whether this idea becomes a reality or not, an ambitious Reddit user going by the name Hazza42 has shared some pretty good mockups of this concept that paint a somewhat similar design to the original Magic Keyboard, but with a grayish-silver color, black keys, and Numpad area.

The use of black instead of white keys (as currently used on the Magic Keyboard) and slightly changed frame color, along with the addition of the Numpad and, of course, the OLED Touch Bar at the top, make up for a suitable combination.

However, this concept is in contrast to Apple’s compact design that lacks a Numpad, and can also have a considerable effect on the device’s battery life. Widening the device with a Numpad could be a potential solution for this issue, as it could accommodate a bigger battery from which the Touch Bar can get its power.

When it comes to pricing, since the current Apple Magic Keyboard is $99 (€89), a price tag of $150 - $200 (€135 - €180) might scare many buyers. Still, the company can implement this concept along with refreshed/future iMacs, Mac Pros, and Mac minis.

Still, until this idea comes true, we can only imagine what the device would look like and check out a couple of available renders. Also, let us know what you think in the comments section below.
