Orders placed in the United States for the iPad (4th-generation) and iPad mini with cellular wireless are being fulfilled sooner than expected. Customers are starting to receive notifications that their tablets are “on the way.”

Apple continues to cite a two-week shipping timeframe for cellular iPad orders placed through its web store today, but orders made last week, and the week before that, are being fulfilled this Friday.

That’s according to a handful of customers telling 9to5mac that existing orders are set to arrive as early as November 16 – that’s this Friday.

According to a screenshot leaked to the site, Apple’s wording is, “We’re happy to let you know that the items below are on their way to you. We also included delivery estimates and tracking information next to your shipping address.”
