14 DAY TRIAL // Apple never promised to make the iPhone cheap so that everyone could afford it, and the company confirmed Wall Street’s fears on September 10, when the iPhone 5c launched with a $549/€599 price tag off-contract.
But that didn’t stop fans from depleting Apple’s stock, particularly when it came to the SIM-free iPhone 5c model with a yellow case.
While most iPhone 5c handsets are still on track for September 20 shipping, this particular model is seeing a five-day delay for any new orders.
Apple says you can buy a T-Mobile iPhone and it will arrive with a pre-installed nano-SIM which you can activate by visiting an Apple Retail Store, a T-Mobile store, or by ringing up the operator.
“If you buy a SIM-free iPhone, you will need to purchase a GSM-compatible nano-SIM card separately,” says Apple.
And it seems this kind of freedom is what most buyers want these days.
