14 DAY TRIAL // Yahoo! has released its much hyped dedicated weather app for iOS devices. Appropriately dubbed Yahoo! Weather, the free app hopes to show you the weather “like never before.”
Apparently Yahoo!’s bold claim isn’t just a typical marketing pitch. Yahoo! Weather combines photos from your location with an accurate forecast. It chooses beautiful photos that match your location, and even the time of day, as well as the current weather conditions.
Tap the screen once and you get more detailed weather information, complete with interactive radar, satellite, heat, and wind maps. You can also check out the sunrise/sunset times.
As an added bonus, you get to submit photos to the app at Project Weather on Flickr.
The app is compatible with iOS 5.0 and all the iDevices that support it. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
