Automattic has announced the release of WordPress 4.0.3 for iOS, the latest version of the portable blogging solution for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad customers. Localized in dozens of different languages and offering full iOS 7 support, WordPress is free to download and use.

The mobile version of the app lets you moderate comments, create new posts, edit existing posts, view statistics, and even add images and videos with ease. WordPress 4.0.3 makes it even easier to insert images thanks to a few UI adjustments for media management.

Developer Automattic further improved accessibility of the stats interface, launched live chat support (allegedly on a limited rollout), and fixed a great deal of issues that customers have been reporting.

Since it’s basically a writing tool that lets you get the word out, it’s only natural that WordPress is localized in English, Bokmål, Norwegian, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish.

To download WordPress for your iDevice, you’ll need iOS 7.0. Hardware compatibility starts at iPhone 4, iPad 2, and iPod touch fifth-generation. To blog from your Apple device using this app, you’ll need to create a free WordPress.org account.
